Fresh approach for Pallet Network Anglia following buy-out

Wisbech-based Pallet Network Anglia, also known as PE Logistics, has undertaken substantial fleet investment and a rebrand following its acquisition by WS Transport.

PE Logistics is renewing its fleet, with eight new tractor units and three 26-tonne vehicles replacing older units on its 28-strong fleet. The vehicles will be leased, as this provides repair and maintenance support and the best return on investment.

"Having a new modern fleet is important to maintaining our service levels and our environmental credentials," says sales and customer liaison Kelly Wilding. "New vehicles offer the greatest reliability, the lowest fuel usage and the lowest emissions."

The vehicles also sport a vibrant new look which captures the PE Logistics brand and the Pallet Network Anglia trading name customers know so well.

"Business is booming," says Kelly. "Although spectacularly high volumes have been challenging for everyone in the logistics sector, it is great news for the economy. Local demand for our services is so great we have a waiting list of companies who would like to work with us."

She emphasises that the company is careful to only take on work it can fulfil to satisfactory service levels. "Resource is finite for everyone," she says, "and we want to do well by customers. No responsible business expands to the point of service failure."
